angela acosta is a filipino photographer, illustrator and writer based between the philippines and bahrain. she studied journalism, and her practice has stayed close to it: looking, asking, writing it down. she was once a magazine editor; she now works in film, ink, and prose on subjects that are largely personal: family, language, and the philippines as she knows it from a distance. she has been drawn to slow, observational work since she was a child. she is happiest by the sea.
